About Me

My name is Tim. I wont say much about myself other than say that I have worked selling electronics through one of the big box retailers for 9 years and have been a tech junkie for most of my life. My latest obsession has been cel phones and my latest love the Blackberry platform.

Currently I have the following phones active:

• BlackBerry Tour 9630 (VZW)
• BlackBerry Storm2 9550 (VZW)
• BlackBerry Storm 9530 (VZW)
• enV Touch (ie Voyager 2) (VZW)
• iPhone (AT&T)
• Unlocked TMobile branded BlackBerry Curve 8900 (AT&T)
• A couple cheap flip phones

And have retired the following:

• BlackBerry 8830 WE in Red (VZW)
• BlackBerry 8330 Curve (VZW)
• BlackBerry Storm 9530 (yes I have two of them VZW)
• LG Voyager (VZW)

About Blackberry

Blackberry is a product of Research In Motion Inc. in Canada and started in the late 1990’s as an organizer and email appliance, before adding phone functionality. It quickly grew to become one of the largest smart phone producers in the world.

It is well respected as being both SECURE and easy to program for due to being based upon the open source Java programming language. The phones and their features are top notch in quality even though their web applications have become (out) dated. They are probably best known for their push email.

BB started as a primarily business oriented device, but in recent years has moved more toward the consumer market.
